As I write this we have just had a wonderful Remembrance Service with our year 4, 5 and 6 children, their parents and grandparents.
It was very interesting to hear the children’s stories of their great grandparents and other family members war experiences. Some of our year 5 children visited the War Memorial in Garsington and recognised many of the names of Garsington families. Pupils also produced beautiful poppy pictures.
It is that time of year at Garsington Primary School when there are lots of exciting things going on. The Foundation Stage and KS1 are busy practising their nativity play ‘Christmas around the World’ and the songs are already sounding great! We look forward to welcoming parents to performances at 2pm on the 7th and 8th December.
On Friday 9th December we will be having our ‘Christmas Crafts and Cake Sale’ from 3.15 – 4.30pm. There will be a sale of Christmas crafts handmade by the children, a cake stall, refreshments, singing and, most importantly Father Christmas will be there!
The Senior Citizens Carol service will be held on Tuesday 13th December at 10am. Please join us for mince pies, tea and coffee at this happy event.
We look forward to seeing many of you over the coming weeks and wish you a very merry Christmas.
